College Prep

Beginning in 8th Grade, students in the 15-LOVE program are eligible to participate in the College Prep & Leadership Program. The group meets every Friday night and students also have one-on-one sessions to make sure they are on track to meet their goals. Students work through a five-year curriculum that ends with the college application, financial aid and decision process. Furthermore, 15-LOVE offers graduates the opportunity to apply for the Denise McCoy Scholarship, which offers them financial assistance for up to four years of higher education.

Michara Semper graduated from Schenectady High School. She attended SUNY Schenectady Community College while attending high school, and holds an associate degree in scienc with a concentration in biology. She plans to attend Colgate University to study Biochemistry.

JJ Dalzel graduated from Christian Brother’s Academy and has committed to Siena College to study Engineering.
